417 Om Tryambakam & Jesus (83)

Om Tryambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushti Vardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanan
Mrityor Mukshiya Mamritat

I. Yesu Kshira Maha Kshira
II. Yesu Amruta Maha Amruta
III. Yesu Hrudaya Maha Hrudaya
Yesu Yesu Mahadeva
Yesu Jai Yesu Jai Yesu Jai Jai
Yogam Yogam Yesu Sharanam

OM. We worship and adore (Yajamahe) You, oh three-eyed One (Tryambakam). Oh Shiva, You are the sweet fragrance (Sugandhim) of life! You nourish (Vardhanam) us, restore our health, and cause us to thrive (Pushti). As, in due time, the stem (Bandhanan) of the cucumber (Urvarukamiva) weakens, and the fruit is freed from the vine. So free (Mukshiya) us from attachment and death (Mrityor), and give us immortality (Mamritat)!

Oh Jesus, you are like the milk (Kshira) which nurses the body, like Divine Nectar (Amruta) which nurses the soul, and you have a great (Maha) heart (Hrudaya) for this creation! Victory (Jai) to Jesus, the unity (Yogam) with You is my refuge (Sharanam).

Explanations

417 Om Tryambakam & Jesus

2014-04-24 Explanations from Sabeenamayi on Fb in english: Mantra – energy formula ‘Om Tryambakam’ – Direct dial to the divine Department SHIVA A mantra is the connection of sacred seed syllables, so-called Bhijas, received directly in deep silence of Rishis thousands of years ago. Unlike as today, where you can book all experiences during a weekend workshop immediately or even for free on the internet … the people withdrew to the solitude of nature and spent their lives in harmony with the natural elements of earth, fire, ether, water and air – every day. Their vibration was very pure and thus they were able to perceive the finest energies and pass on their experiences. To this treasure trove of pure knowledge, we can draw today. Swami Sri Kaleshwar compared a mantra to a telephone number calling divine energy. Hence, by accurate pronunciation and the ongoing repeat of a mantra – energy formula, we select a certain divine number. This morning the dial to Shiva popped up with one of the most famous and important mantras: The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, the Great Death overcomer. In Ayurvedic medicine it is used to call Shiva in his aspect as Lord of destruction to stop the process of decay, for example, to delay or even stop multiple sclerosis, with good success! For meditators the request for deliverance from all worldly entanglements is significant, particularly overcoming the fear of death, preferring instead to find true immortality. In times of death or for deceased persons it will help to give a good link (in the truest sense of the word) or bond to true life . This healing mantra connects us directly with Shiva and His greatness. Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam Urvarukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritaat One possible translation: OM. Oh three-eyed One (Tryambakam) we worship and adore (Yajamahe) You. You are the sweet fragrance (Sugandhim) of life! You nourish (Vardhanam) us, restore our health, and cause us to thrive (Pushti). As, in due time, the stem (Bandhanaan) of the cucumber (Urvarukamiva) weakens, and the fruit is freed from the vine. So free (Mukshiya) us from attachment and death (Mrityor), and give us immortality (Maamritaat)! Here are two recordings where it becomes clear that the pronunciation may be slightly different. The first take has a very clear and very familiar articulation to me. The second one sounds with 21 Brahmin priests and speaks for itself… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5ukK9l0qEI (clear female voice) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDuhp5o8Ybw (21 priests) With Swami Kaleshwar, we made the experience that he let us repeat the mantras monotonous-quickly to produce a certain intensity. From an Ayurvedic physician I also learned a similar monotonous way to recite this mantra, as with the selected recordings. Especially for a bit breezy ,Spiris’ it helps to repeat mantras like that to connect heaven with a good earthy presence. The picture shows Lord Shiva before his devotional young admirer Markandeya, which was destined to die at the age of sixteen. However, Shiva stopped with the power of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra his aging process shortly before his 16th Gebutstag. So would Yama, the God of death, never be able to kill him. Therefore this mantra is also called Markandeya mantra. Good luck and peace dialing Shiva’s number! Sabeenamayi

Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam Urvarukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritaat Eine mögliche Übersetzung: Om. Gebutstag an. Sabeenamayi
